Yes we all know that if you ask any woman if a man is sexier with a six pack she will say YES…but what is it that makes men want to have smokin’ hot six packs? If you watch television, or look in a variety of men’s magazines you will very quickly see that most are filled with exercise and workout routines designed to give men a chiseled anatomoy that women go goo-goo over. Oh yeah, you know what I’m talking about…those glossy ads that just make those bumps and bulges pop out and look hotter than hell. These magazines tend to showcase the desired result of all this work: a chiseled and ripped body that women can literally get wet over, but my question is this; “what is the end goal of the pursuit of all this muscle? Some men work out for the health benefits, for pleasure, and to generally stay in shape. This is reasonable and desirable. Every man should want to be fit and healthy, nevertheless, some men develop an unhealthy obsession with getting a ripped physique and begin using drugs such as steroids which are not hot and not so cool at all.
Why do men want to have these super hero style bodies and how far will they go to get them? Listen, confidence for men is just as important as it is for us ladies. We look in the mirror and see a not so tight ass any longer or saggy hooters as we age and we look at a variety of ways to make necessary changes to benefit our bodies. The sad thing is that while exercise and a few changes in our diets will most likely assist with many of the changes, some women don’t have the time to redefine their bodies and go straight to a plastic surgeon to see what it will cost to make her look sexy, tone and most importantly younger again. Guess what folks, we are aging and getting older does NOT mean getting ugly or saggy. I’m 48 and I feel great. I’ve gained and I’ve lost weight but men see us as sexy in a variety of ways just as we see them sexy and it does not mean that we have to spend thousands of bucks to make it happen.
We want our bodies to look great and we seem to gravitate to men with buff bods too. So while there’s really no denying the fact that women view a man’s ripped physique as a sweet bonus, it’s rarely, if ever, a deal breaker. The women I have known in my life, much including myself have been far more focused on a man’s personality, sense of humor, decency, confidence, and ambition, than whether he had six packs abs.Why is there such a disconnect between what women want and what men think they want?
Getting a six pack fast isn’t just about doing abdominal exercises. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication. So think long and hard before you get started toning. We all know that ab-toning exercises are, of course, vital to getting that six pack you’re craving. But all the sit ups and crunches in the world won’t give you a six pack if you’ve got a bulgy belly. That’s because body fat hides muscle tone; burning belly fat can reveal how toned your abs are. Burn body fat with regular aerobic activity. Running, swimming, jogging and cycling are all good ways to burn belly fat.
How does one obtain a six pack? Eat the right foods, watch your intake of carbs and fats. Eating a low fat diet can help you burn body fat to reveal the muscle tone in your abs. For better muscle tone, eat plenty of protein, which helps your body build new muscle tissue.Your body needs fat and carbohydrates for energy. The more fat you cut out of your diet, the more carbohydrates you should consume. Avoid simple carbohydrates, like sugar. Your body converts these to fat, and eating too many of them can lead to type 2 diabetes. The best thing to do is to eat plenty of complex carbohydrates, like whole grain breads and pasta, to give your body energy.
Make sure you get an adequate number of daily calories from healthy foods. Of course, you can’t get a six pack fast, or at all, if you don’t do abdominal toning exercises. Perform a crunch by lying on the floor, with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. It’s easy, and you don’t need a lot of expensive gym equipment at home ton get a rock solid sexy set of six packs.
Of course another reason men are increasingly making a ripped physique their goal, are the images constantly being pushed by the media. Batman was just Batman until the beefed him up and built abs in his bat suit. Really? Was this necessary? You bet it was…today’s society wants to see buff men and buff men sell box office hits. Back in the day,…the Duke (Mr John Wayne) didn’t have a six pack… he was just a cowboy hero with a hot holster set and smile that made women melt. With no six pack do you think that stop him beating the bad guy and getting the girl? No way!
What do I like? For me, it’s the package. Get your mind out of the gutter,…NO not that package. It’s how it all fits together into the overall picture. Each man has his own wonderful package of features. Smile, arms and shoulders, eyes and hair, and especially his smile. For some women it is also his legs, hands and chin. I prefer a man with character and a brain. A romantic man, not a horn dog. A man who considers others feelings and loves with his head and his heart. Sure looks are important as we all know that the physical attraction is a key ingredient in finding the mate for you…BUT don’t lose sight of the other qualities that a man portraits that makes him special too.
Sure that sexy six pack is intriguing and impressive, nonetheless, you need to look at what makes the man as a whole, not just what makes his six pack abs. Men, just like women care about their bodies and want to look and feel like a million bucks. This can be obtained in a healthy manner. There is a right way and a wrong way to obtain the six pack physique. Remember fellas that your euphoria is quite important, so please, seek medical advice before attempting to aspire a body such as this. Do it the right way, not the easy way. Your body is your house and it is the only one that you will ever have, so do take care of it, please.
