If you would have asked me several months ago or even a few years ago what I found most intriguing in men and being in a relationship my answer might have been something off the chart…why? Probably because I had such high expectations of what I wanted in a man and how I thought a relationship was supposed to work. It may have also been because I hadn’t been in a relationship for a lengthy enough time to give a good man a chance.

All relationships begin as a friendship and with the right nutrients and enough air to breathe on their own, they blossom over time into something that can be the start of a whole new chapter in one’s life.

 Get to know each other really well. Learn about each other’s biggest dreams and worst nightmares. We all have them, and our feelings do matter.  talk about your ideal plans for your life, where you see yourself in a few years? As mush as this doesn’t matter to many people, it is significant to some people, so lay your cards on the table. Discuss what your moral beliefs are. If you’re religious, discuss those beliefs now. Talk about how you both were raised. Share family stories that provide knowledge of how they’ve made you a better person. Learning about each other, your pasts and ideas on life is very important. Don’t carry baggage (mostly drama) into a new relationship. That is a BIG No-No, so clear the slate now!

Too many of us have preconceived notions about what relationships should or shouldn’t be. When you think a relationship should be a certain way, and yours isn’t, frustration sets in…and we all know that frustration is the number one thing that eats away at a relationship. Another ‘not so good’ sign is if you’re trying hard to make improvements and changes, but you don’t see the same level of effort on your partner’s part. It’s not an 80/20 relationship, it has to be a 50/50. There has to be some sense of “we’re trying really hard, both making changes and that’s making a difference.’” Otherwise, you will beat yourself into the ground trying to make this person happy and in the end you will only be exhausted, and no one needs a relationship where the work is harder than the enjoyment/satisfaction of what you both share.

Has your relationship gone down hill? They say that often daily routines are one of the culprits and I agree. As their responsibilities grow and roles expand, they say that couples have less and less time and energy for each other. My non-professional advice? You have to make the time, it’s really just that simple. Nothing is so important that a 5 second text message stating that you miss him/her won’t put a smile on your partners face. A brief phone call s that they can hear your voice and know that you miss them and care is all one needs to make them smile and understand that although you are swamped with work, or chores or even family stuff that you care about them and wanted to show it. I’m not stating that your relationship is going down hill fast because of romance, but if may be, that too can be fixed. Surly this doesn’t mean that the passion is gone for good. With a little planning and playfulness, you can boost passion.

Instead, they demand that their partners make  changes. This is a two-way street and no one ever said that being in a relationship/marriage would be easy. The problem at hand is this; too many people give up and don’t want to try. Divorce rates have skyrocketed over the past decade or two and why? Lack of trust, jealousy, and communication. If I have said it once I’ve said it a gazillion times. Talk, talk, talk to your partner.

8) You miss them when they are away

What is lingerie and where was it derived from? The term lingerie comes from the old French word “linge” which means linen. The term lingerie came into the English vocabulary as a euphemism for scandalous clothing unbecoming of a lady. Throughout the years, the design of lingerie has varied but the appeal is in influencing key factor in the world of seduction. Let’s face it, women love lingerie and men adore them in it. So often though, people ask me what is the difference between this and that? I’m here to share with you our perspective of lingerie.

Corsets

A corset is a garment  worn to hold and shape the torso into a desired shape for artistic purposes.In recent years, the term “corset” has also been borrowed by the fashion industry to refer to tops which, to varying degrees, mimic the look of traditional corsets without actually acting as one. The most common and well known use of corsets is to slim the body and make it conform to a fashionable silhouette. Modern bustiers are a reincarnation and modified  version of their earlier 16th century linen cousins. They were called the “payre of bodies” and “stays”. Stays had shoulder straps and a small waist ending in flaps.Their shape was an inverted cone meant to compliment the large multi-layered skirts below. They pushed up the breasts, narrowed the waist and straightened the back. In the 80s Madonna brought the corset back to life as she wore them as an adornment in videos and at her concerts. Women went nuts over them and they were recreated keeping much of the appeal with an embellishing and bountiful glamorous flair!

There are basically two types of modern corsets. An overbust corset encloses the torso, extending from just under the arms to the hips. An underbust corset begins just under the breasts and extends down to the hips. Some corsets extend over the hips. A shorter kind of corset, which covers the waist area is called a waist cincher. A corset may also include garters to hold up stockings or alternatively a separate garter belt may be worn for that. So what is the difference between a bustier and a corset? Well a bustier is shorter than a corset and does not attempt to shape the waist at all. Remember a bustier is designed to shape the bust whereas the corset is more about the hips and waist. Another way to make sense of it is to remember that a bustier shows off the tummy and the corset does a magnificent job of hiding it.

Bustiers

A bustier is a splendorous one-piece, tight-fitting, sleeveless garment, designed with cups and flexible boning. It is meant to fit around your breasts and down around your ribcage. It usually ends at the waist unlike a corset. Hooks and eyes, cord or ribbon, connect most of them. They are almost always strapless.They are  meant to define a woman’s shape and enhance her breasts. The bustier is often worn on the outside directly over the skin, or over other garments like blouses, shirts & t-shirts.

Chemises

A chemise is generally a woman’s garment that vaguely resembles the older shirts but is typically more delicate, most stunning and oh so provocative. Most commonly the term refers to a loose-fitting, sleeveless undergarment or  type of lingerie which is unfitted at the waist. It can also refer to a short, sleeveless dress that hangs straight from the shoulders and fits loosely at the waist. A chemise typically does not have any buttons or other fasteners and is put on by either dropping it over the head or stepping into it and lifting it up.As lingerie, a chemise is similar to babydoll,, which is also a short, loose-fitting, sleeveless garment. Typically, though, babydolls are more loose-fitting at the hips and are generally designed to more resemble a young girl’s nightgown, although many modern styles have added various sexualizing features.

Camisoles

A woman’s loose-fitting undergarment for the upper body, typically held up by shoulder straps and having decorative trimming. Camisoles are light loose fitting sleeveless tops typically made with soft cotton, delicate lace trim around the chest and held up by thin spaghetti straps. Always shorter than a chemise, the camisole typically rests on the hips but may show off the tummy too. Nowadays the camisole is a staple of any girl’s fashion and may even be worn as outerwear. Date Night…we all love it, and we all look forward to it with that someone special. My guess is that we all need a little spice in our lives so live for today and make someone happy! REASON #1 – THEY’RE STUCK AND CANNOT GET OVER A PAST RELATIONSHIP 

Sound familiar anyone? Ahhhh the ole’ “you’re everything I wanted but now isn’t the best time.” Anyone every heard that excuse? In most cases with men their relationship that didn’t work out simply because of some stupid mistake that he felt really bad about it. Naturally, the relationship fails, thinking that talking would help him sort his feelings out but he’s too proud to do it.

Unfortunately,if you snooze you loose gentlemen so take my advice and lay all the cards on the table….then if the relationship is truly over walk away, take time off from dating to get your head turned back around and move forward learning from this relationship and its mistakes so that you don’t duplicate them in the future…and don’t use the cop-out ‘work has me so busy.’ That’s hogwash and you really need to come up with something better than that because we aren’t stupid and we have feelings. Just say STOP! Enough is enough.

REASON #2 – THEY WEREN’T EMOTIONALLY AVAILABLE IN THE FIRST PLACE

It’s a sad statistic, but 80-90% of the single men you meet aren’t ready or willing (or both) to handle a serious relationship. That’s why shortly after the relationship starts, things go downhill and end in a break-up. These men weren’t suited to handle a big commitment to begin with! Men who fall into this category include players and guys who prioritize work over relationships, it also includes men who are far too immature for a good woman. It’s too bad, but there are a lot of single men out there who “could have been” great boyfriends – it’s just that their hearts and minds weren’t ready for you at the time!

Again, there’s little you can do directly to change the minds of these men, I call them boys, because they sure as hell don’t know how to act like a real man. Even if you did manage to get them to commit to a relationship with you, it’s often only a matter of time before they fall out of love with you. You can’t always teach an old dog new tricks and you can’t change a man. He has to want to change for YOU!

REASON #3 – THEY’RE REALLY NOT HAVING MUCH FUN

With  the first two reasons, we talked about the two biggest problems that men have about commitment, and how they keep them from staying in a relationship with you, no matter how good you think the relationship may be going….are you following me here? If you’ve noticed, I mentioned in the first two reasons that trying to directly change his mind, such as by trying to make him talk about the problem, or trying to force him to commit to you, or by criticizing, or by arguing, or by begging, or WHATEVER… …it DOESN’T work! It will backfire on you and YOU WILL be left with nothing!! BACK OFF LADIES! It’s easy to think you’re doing the right thing — after all, the best way to solve a problem is by taking a scientific, logical, step-by-step process to solve it, right? Hell no, we open our yap and it all comes out, foot in mouth..over and over and over again.

 When you try to approach your relationship problems in this manner, you’re simply taking the focus AWAY from the relationship and putting it ONTO the problem. In your case, the problem will only get bigger and bigger.

And, as I keep saying, what you focus on GROWS! The relationship becomes less and less fun for him, until the point of where he begins canceling dinners, and date nights becuase 1) He’d rather stay in alone, or 2) He’d rather be with the boys in the land of the living where there are no rules! Believe me gals, when he’s in a relationship that’s not fun, he’ll inevitably start looking for his enjoyment elsewhere. It’s often that simple which is why I believe this is the biggest reason why so many guys leave the women they love.

REASON #4 – FIX THE PROBLEM, AND FIND THE SOLUTION! 

So here’s my TWO CENTS, don’t focus on the problem. Focus on the relationship! Honestly it doesn’t matter how good your intentions were, if you try to fix the relationship the wrong way, then bad things happen.

Do you know why he doesn’t like talking about the problems in your relationship? It’s simply because he’s a guy and his pride is hinged on the health and happiness of the relationship he’s leading. When you corner him and try to talk about any problems, you’re basically indicating that he’s not doing too well of a job! That’s why guys don’t like talking about the problems…and that’s why, when you ask them if anything’s bothering them, they just say, “Nothing, I’m fine” …even if they’re really troubled. SO WHAT’S THE RIGHT WAY? Ladies, let’s face it….there are some relationship problems that you can fix, and then there are some you simply cannot.

Sometimes, you really don’t have a choice but to let him go. But guess what? That’s not really a bad thing! No relationship should ever take that much work to make it right…..if things aren’t heading in the right direction now, they won’t be. Stop making excuses.

Trust me, I know this first hand. Relationships can endure a lot of bumps in the road if you respect one another. Surprise her by cooking dinner because you know darn well that she had a rough day at work. Listen to her when she speaks, and really pay attention to her thoughts, wants and needs.

•   Trusting and being Trusted. I’m a shoot from the hip kinda gal and that’s how you should be too! If you are not, you need to be a straight shooter. Trust is the great equalizer in a good relationship; without it there is no good! A good foundation in a healthy love relationship is built on trust and trust must be earned. 

Holding back on the truth about how you feel, only telling part of the story, fudging on what your wants and needs are to your partner slowly erodes the trust in your relationship. Total honesty brings about awesome trust. Do all that you can to achieve it and have a relationship that can endure it all.

•   Always go that extra mile. Don’t wait for her to do it- you do it…and by it, I mean anything to make her smile. Motivate each other to be the best you can be. Be inventive in coming up with ways to inspire your love life. Never stop. NEVER! Push the romance envelope with a getaway in the mountains for a long weekend or if you are anything like be, be a toes in the sand kinda gal. Have fun, be creative and enjoy life.
